Now that I've had my shop open for a few months, I wanted to update this message to say THANK YOU to all those who have supported me so far!
I also wanted to let everyone know my purpose with my Etsy store. I hope to sell items to support some great local causes around Denver, CO. My primary goal in 2024 is to support Denver Audubon and Audubon Rockies with a donation from a portion of the proceeds from my "bird" items. As I gain experience and insight into selling on Etsy, I also hope to do more to support additional causes for nature and create & sell more eco-friendly items! I currently do my best to be eco-friendly by reusing shipping containers and internal packaging items like bubble wrap, foam core, and paper padding. At home, I utilize Ridwell, a bi-monthly pick up service that takes hard-to-recycle items like plastic (bags, mailers, etc.), batteries, light bulbs, threads, plus a rotating category of items that often end up recycled into the local community. I've been using Ridwell for almost 2 years to help my community waste less!
My shop currently sells a unique variety of items, mostly focusing on my nature & wildlife photography. I also have an automotive section that I plan to expand in the coming months. My bird section will also be growing, as I hope to partner with Denver Audubon to sell items to support their mission more directly. I've also recently added a Vintage Horse section. Why vintage horses? Well, I grew up with horses and still love them so much! I have a huge collection of vintage Breyer and Peter Stone model horses and since I'm trying to reduce my footprint, I'm trying to downsize. These horses deserve to go to homes where they will be better appreciated and admired. I know my store is a bit eclectic, but that is my personality to a T!
